Sesquicentennial Madness and Me

July 27, 2009 - 11:39 pm 2 Comments

My old friend Andrea Jones (a Navy veteran and war historian) has begun a website to serve as a FAQ for folks who are interested in the imminent Civil War Sesquicentennial. Sesquicentennial Madness is chock full of helpful information, and now it also features an interview conducted with yours truly.

Click here to read the interview, and watch us chat about growing up southern/not-quite-southern, steampunk apologetica, and what influenced me to make the war such a significant part of my Clockwork Century universe.

Excellent news!

Via my editor at Tor, Boneshaker — which you can preorder right here if you are so inclined — will be released about a month sooner than expected.

The reasons for the change are many and varied, but the end result is this: Rather than having to wait until the middle of October, you’ll now be able to pick up the first full novel in the Clockwork Century in September instead.

Amazon, B&N, and other online listings do not presently reflect this change, but they will before long — and you may rest assured that this is a True Fact.

I’ve just gotten permission from my editor to reproduce this here, so here you go — the full (and, I believe, final) wrap-around cover design for Boneshaker. I, for one, could not be happier!

Click upon it to enlarge.
I’m so excited — it looks amazing!
